How to increase the permitted power consumption of electricity

The constant increase in the number of household consumers leads to the need to increase the amount of electricity per one specific user. If it is practically impossible to do this in a city apartment, then in private housing it is quite possible to solve the issue of its increase. An increase in the power of electricity consumed by the owner of a country house is possible only if a number of conditions are met that require separate consideration.

Why increase the power of electricity

Situations when the owners of a private house do not have enough power for their current needs are quite common. They are usually encountered in the following cases:

• After expanding the usable area or redevelopment of premises in the house.
• Due to the appearance of additional loads (electric "warm floor", for example);
• In cases where living conditions are forced to turn on several loads at the same time: an oven, a washing machine and a dishwasher, as well as a TV, a microwave oven and an air conditioner.

An increase in electrical power will allow the owners to use the required number of devices without fear of the possible operation of the circuit breakers. Also, the solution to this issue will allow connecting energy-intensive equipment to the household power grid: pumps, processing machines, electric boilers and other power units.

Ways to increase consumption for a private house

There are three known ways to increase the power consumed from the electrical network in a private house or mansion. To do this, you will need to do one of the following:

• submit an application to the grid company with a request to increase the permitted level of consumption;
• formally "increase" the available capacity through its competent distribution - through the use of the principle of priorities;
• install a special storage-type device (inverter) in the house.

In the first case, you will need to prepare a package of documents and submit an application to Energosbyt, drawn up according to a standard sample. If it is required to increase the power to a value of no more than 15 kW, the execution of the application will cost the consumer no more than 500-1000 rubles.

When using a priority relay, the power supplied by Energosbyt does not actually increase, however, such a technique allows it to be economically consumed. The principle of limiting consumption consists in disconnecting from the network the loads that are not priority ones. The relay is triggered if the limit value taken from the network exceeds the permissible rate.

In the case of installing a special inverter, power is accumulated in it during periods when electricity is almost not consumed. This usually happens at night. The stock of electricity accumulated during this time is consumed during periods of peak load on the power grid.

The choice of one of the proposed options is determined by the preferences and capabilities of the owner of the house.

Power increase stages

Before increasing the electrical power in a private house, you will need to decide on a volume sufficient for personal needs. This issue is solved by simply adding up the energy consumption indicators of all devices connected to the network. After that, they move on to a more difficult stage associated with obtaining permission.Sequencing:

1. Preparation and submission of the package of documents to the local grid company.
2. Obligatory receipt of technical specifications for connection.
3. Coordination of the local power supply project.
4. Implementation of activities in accordance with the requirements contained in the proposed conditions.
5. Obtaining certificates confirming the correctness of the work.
6. Submission of documents certifying changes to the contract with the supplier.

The development of the project and its implementation, if necessary, the completion of the power grids is carried out with the involvement of specialists from organizations that have appropriate permits for carrying out electrical work.

Increased power in the parking garage

To increase the power consumption indicator in a personal garage, you will need to contact the same network company with an application accompanied by the following set of documents:

• A copy of the certificate of ownership of a temporary or permanent structure.
• A copy of the passport or other document replacing it.
• General plan of the area showing the location of the garage.
• Copy of TIN.

After the approval of the application for increasing the capacity, the organization issues a technical specification, the requirements of which are fulfilled by the applicant in any way convenient for him.

Their owners also have to deal with the lack of capacity, which should be allocated according to the current regulations. With an increase in the fleet of operated equipment (air conditioners, computers and other office equipment), the load on the power grid increases sharply.

The owners of non-residential premises, as a rule, are management companies, therefore, several consumers are often connected to the network at once.

The most reasonable way out of the situation is to increase the power taken from the network by laying a separate power cable in each room. The procedure in this case is somewhat different from that discussed earlier for private housing. First, you will need to submit an application and prepare documents to be sent to the address of the network company. The application is drawn up according to the established template. The finished documentation package should contain:

• Non-residential floor plan showing all electrical receivers.
• A copy of the document for the right to use it.
• Extract from the register of an individual entrepreneur.
• A copy of the charter of the firm or organization.
• A copy of the certificate of appointment of the head of the company.
• Personal passport or other document replacing it.

The next step is for the applicant to receive a technical specification for the upcoming work and conclude an agreement with the grid company. Its representatives are required to consider the application from the user within 15 days. If errors in execution or lack of documents are found, the applicant must receive a notification explaining the reasons.

After the issuance of the TU, the owner of the premises, together with the specialists of the network company, will need to complete all the activities spelled out in this document. They are carried out on the basis of a previously concluded agreement, which stipulates the terms, rights and obligations of the parties. Operations for expanding the indoor power supply system are paid by the customer. The network organization is responsible for all elements outside the boundaries of the area occupied by the company.

Upon completion of the e / m work, a representative of the management company checks their quality, installs seals on the meter and draws up an acceptance certificate. The customer is obliged to make all changes to the contract with the supplying organization within a month.

Increasing the permitted capacity is allowed only with the consent of the management company. Its decision is a legal basis for carrying out measures to improve the power grid.
