Heating
Comparison of heating systems: gas, water, electricity
Private heating of a cottage or apartment is the best way to create the best living conditions. The big advantage of this type of heating is the ability to control both the microclimate and costs, being completely independent of the work of utilities.
Types of private heating systems:
- water;
- gas;
- electric.
Gas heating
This is the most popular heating method for apartments and cottages. The gas heating system includes:
- boiler (or other heating device);
- gas pipeline;
- coolant circuit (water is used as a coolant);
- heating radiators;
- shut-off and control valves;
- devices that control the operation of the system.
Gas boilers for heating are produced with low power (4 - 60 kW), medium - (up to 1600 kW), large - (up to 16,000 kW).
The equipment is either wall-hung or floor-mounted. Hinged boilers are supplied with light copper heat exchangers, and floor-standing ones - with cast-iron ones. Boilers are either flow-through or with a built-in boiler. The service life of the boiler is 20 - 65 years. The automatic control system makes the operation of the gas heating system completely safe.
Private gas heating is characterized by high efficiency and great comfort.
Electric heating
Heat sources for an electrical heating circuit:
- boilers combined with a water heating circuit and radiators;
- electric radiators;
- convectors;
- power lines (type of convectors);
- infrared heaters;
- warm floor.
The effect of electric heating directly depends on the correct choice of heating devices. Sometimes it is better to integrate an electric heater into an existing hot water heating system. In other cases, it is preferable to opt for warm floors or convectors.
For example, a combination of radiators and an infrared source is considered optimal for a kitchen. For a bathroom, only an infrared emitter, which quickly gives off heat, will be more economical.
For living rooms and children's rooms, the best choice is underfloor heating, which ensures uniform heating of the entire volume of air.
Installation of an electrical heating circuit does not require permits. Installation is not difficult, and further control of the equipment will not cause difficulties. This is a safe heating method. The most expensive is the installation of a warm floor. The main disadvantage of electric heating is the high cost of electricity.
