The Japanese company "Makita" produces high-quality equipment and tools, including submersible drainage pumps. The difference from analogs is that they are able to pump out liquid with a large number of grains of sand of various sizes, pebbles and other solid impurities. The range of offered equipment is large: when selecting a pressure device, technical characteristics must be taken into account.
Application area
Pumping devices of the Japanese brand are used for the following purposes:
- pumping waste water;
- pumping out during floods;
- pumping and clearing of wells and wells;
- use as fecal pumps in the absence of a central sewerage system.
In the process of pumping out wastewater, the pump removes it to an external sewage system or to a treatment plant. Not recommended for use if drains contain a large amount of fibrous compounds.
Water with a high temperature - up to 35 degrees - is pumped out with periodic shutdown of the pump so as not to overheat the engine.
Principle of operation
Sewage pumping is carried out using a hose that goes down to the bottom of the tank. The pumped-out liquid is discharged through the outlet pipe.
There is a drainage hole at the bottom of the device. A mesh filter protects the bottom of the device from stones and large particles.
For autonomous operation, the trigger is connected to a float that monitors the liquid level in the tank. If it goes below a certain mark, the float goes down and works as an emergency switch.
The device is equipped with reliable electrical isolation, which prevents the risk of short circuits.
Model range and technical characteristics
All variants of pumping equipment of this brand cope well with pumping dirty water with solid fragments up to 3.5 mm. But each model has its own advantages and design features:
- The PF0300 has a flow rate of 140 l / min and lifts liquid up to 7 m. The device is widely used in garden irrigation systems. It is not afraid of solid dirt up to 5 mm in size.
- PF0410 is used in open sources, flooded basements and drainage systems. Differs in low weight with high productivity - 8400 l / h. Installed thermal protection.
- PF0610 is commonly used for watering, pumping out swimming pools. The maximum lifting height is 7 meters. Productivity - 180 l / min.
- The PF1010 features a quiet electric motor. Thanks to the power of 1100 W, it is able to supply water to a height of 10 m, submerged to 5 m.
- The PF1100 pumps 15,000 l / h. The highest liquid head is 9 meters. Used for contaminated liquid with impurities up to 5 mm.
- The PF1110 is capable of pumping both clean and contaminated liquid. With its help, it is convenient to irrigate horticultural crops with rainwater from a storage tank. Equipped with double seal system and oil chamber for short idle operation.
The PF0800 is considered the most effective and ergonomic for use in domestic conditions. With a relatively small size, it has a high performance.
Installation features
Before installing the device, it is necessary to inspect the casing. Curved, tapered, uneven pipe results in reduced service life.If the flaws are large, due to the difference in cross-section, the speed of the water flow decreases, which cools the system, and the pump burns out.
Drainage pumps "Makita" for dirty water are installed as follows:
- The pressure device is fixed on a nylon rope with high tensile strength. To prevent the fastener from getting into the water intake, it is made at a distance of 10 cm from the inlet. The ends of the cord are gently melted.
- When the device is submerged to a depth of less than 10 m, a submersible hanger is attached to the ends of the rope to prevent vibration. For these purposes, a medical tourniquet or flexible rubber tape is used. Do not use wire or steel rope to avoid damaging the mountings on the pump housing.
- The electric cable, suspension and metal-plastic pipe are interconnected by means of an insulating tape every 0.6-1.2 m.
- If necessary, a non-return valve, shut-off valves and elbows are mounted.
- The unit is lowered into the well. This is done so that it does not touch the walls. If there is a risk of contact, the body is wrapped in rubber.
It is not recommended to lower the pump below the depth indicated in the documentation. This reduces performance and makes it difficult to pull the device out quickly.
The peculiarity of submersible pumps of the Makita brand is also that the device does not need to be placed in a mine to pump out waste water. It can be placed next to it and pumped water through a hose. All equipment can be easily transported. And if there is a small breakdown and malfunction of the device, it is easy to disassemble and repair.
