Sewerage cleaning is a necessary procedure for owners of private houses who install an individual septic tank and cannot be connected to the city drainage system. Especially for these purposes, there are effective methods, one of which involves calling a sewer machine.

The principle of operation of the machine and its features

A machine for pumping out a private sewage system is called a sewer. It is designed for collection and disposal of waste entering the sewerage system. Among the areas of use of this unit is the treatment of cesspools and septic tanks, as well as urban ponds, shallow reservoirs, artificial canals in rural and urban areas.

The machine consists of a set of equipment, hermetically connected to each other with special elements that do not allow sewage to come out:

• wide hose for pumping out waste;
• connecting pipes;
• pump;
• cistern, into which sewage goes;
• signaling device.

Sewerage equipment is equipped mainly with vacuum pumps, although initially there was also another type, a suction manifold of the motor.

Features of work

The main feature of the sewage truck is the presence of a sealed tank with the same pipes, which should not have leaks. The same requirements apply to a corrugated pipe that is immersed in a pit or septic tank to remove household waste. The principle of operation is as follows:

1. The working sleeve of the hose is connected to the tank, the strength of the fasteners is checked, then the other end is lowered into a well, pit, septic tank or other container.
2. A vacuum pump is turned on, which pumps out all the liquid and semi-liquid elements into a sealed tank. It is filled in part or in full. The fuse gives a sound and light signal about the filling of the structure.
3. The corrugated hose is rolled up, the machine is sent to the site where the waste is drained and disposed of.

Sewerage machines can work only in conditions of relative cold - up to -20, as well as at temperatures no higher than +40 heat. The maximum working distance depends on which corrugated pipe is connected to the tank. Usually it does not exceed 15 m, but it can be shorter - up to 6 m.

Oversized sewage machines can work with a pipe up to 25 running meters. If the volume allows, in rare cases, a hose up to 30-35 m long is connected.

It is unacceptable to constantly use a long sleeve when it is possible for equipment to approach the waste collection point, this is due to the heavy load on the motor and pump.

Types of waste disposal mechanisms

The first group of machines with a collector engine is practically not used anymore; they were replaced by equipment with a built-in vacuum pump. The average operating time of vacuum equipment is from 4 to 12 minutes, the collector motors worked longer.

After completing the cleaning procedure, the machine takes the waste to the disposal point, empties the tank. The principle of operation of sewage cleaning machines is in many ways similar. Partially different:

• volume of the tank to be filled;
• dimensions of the machine itself;
• tank filling technology;
• chassis brand.

All sewage disposal units consist of a reservoir, a vacuum pump, a light and sound sensor, a compartment with a hose access hatch, as well as a technical crane and auxiliary electrical equipment.

Advantages and disadvantages of calling a flusher

Among the positive aspects of calling specialized equipment for cleansing a septic tank are:

• the ability to call the unit a few hours before the required cleaning;
• high efficiency of the procedure - a vacuum pump for pumping out the sewage system removes up to 100% of waste;
• the work is silent and fast enough;
• additional pumping can be performed, even if the tank is very large and in 1 run it was not possible to fit all the contents of the septic tank;
• after pumping out, the contents are destroyed;
• the customer does not need to take part in the procedure.

Among the disadvantages of this method is the presence of odor during the operation of the unit. Also, he is not able to cleanse the contents of the septic tank. The cost of work varies from 300-500 to 1000 rubles, in some regions it is even more expensive. If you have a small tank, you will have to order 1-2 times a month or even more often. It is also very important that the septic tank is within the reach of a large-sized machine, it will not be able to enter narrow spaces, and the length of the pumping hose may not be enough.
