The drainage system is indispensable in the suburban area. As a rule, the owners of houses and summer cottages have independent water supply lines and ponds. They have to deal with the heating of the basement and the ground during the period of melting snow and ice. Parma submersible drainage pumps are used to purify water or dispose of it where it is undesirable.
How does a submersible drainage pump work
The pump design includes several main parts and mechanisms that ensure the pumping process:
- Housing. Made mainly of metal or plastic. Inside there is a process of intake, filtration and pumping of liquid.
- Motor driving the impeller shaft.
- Shaft. Made of stainless steel. It can be located inside the case or outside. Its function is to circulate the water inside the unit.
- Branch pipe. This is a small diameter pipe through which water is taken from the outside of the tank.
- A pumping unit that sucks in liquid inside for further pumping. Depending on the size of the assembly and the intake pipe, the maximum size of solids and stones that can get inside is determined.
- Float switch. Allows the owner of the submersible pump not to be near the device throughout the entire pumping process. When the liquid reaches the preset level at which the float is installed, the device automatically turns off and stops working.
Also, the water pumping system includes a hose or pipe through which the material being taken is pumped to another place.
Differences from other types of pumps
Drainage pump Parma effectively cleans water containers without human intervention. The float switch protects the equipment from dry running and overheating.
Compared to other types, Parma drainage pumps have a minimum noise level. This is possible due to the optimal combination of low power with a sufficiently high performance.
Criterias of choice
You need to choose a device taking into account the intended tasks. It is necessary to take into account the volume of the treated reservoir. The depth itself is also important in order to choose the right hose length.
Attention should be paid to the quality of the filter. While some drainage systems can take in fairly large debris, others have very narrow filters designed for only the smallest pebbles, dirt and silt.
Do not forget about energy consumption: it is impractical to buy a large Parma drainage pump for an aquarium, as well as a small one for a wide reservoir in a suburban area.
The pumps also differ in the way of fastening: they can stand on a rigid surface or be suspended in the water column at a distance from the bottom.
How to install
Install a submersible pump in a reservoir or well so that it is approximately 20 cm from the bottom. The hose must be brought to the surface and fixed on the pipe into which the unnecessary liquid will go. If the installation uses a hose with a non-return valve, the latter must be in the well.
The valve should be fixed to the pipe, then the fitting should be installed on it, and only then, with the help of a clamp, fasten the hose to the fitting.
The lineup
The manufacturer of submersible pumps Parma presents 17 models, which differ in power, submersion depth, throughput and the ability to stop debris of different diameters.

Pump reviews
Svetlana, 57 years old, Dolgoprudny. My husband and I have our own plot in the suburbs. Every spring we are faced with the fact that, due to imperfect foundation and foundation, water gets into the basement of our house. Especially for pumping, we bought a small 250 W Parma pump and did not regret it, it copes perfectly.
Valery, 36 years old, Altai Territory. Recently we started our own business with my brother - we breed fish in a small pond. For cleaning, we chose a pump with a power of 900 W. It has good bandwidth, so it does the job.
Sergey, 44 years old, Kaliningrad. I have a well near my house in my dacha, so from time to time I use the Parma device. The choice fell on this company, since their pumps are practically silent when compared with other models.
