Building a brick house with your own hands is not an easy undertaking, but its implementation will save a considerable amount and invest part of your soul in the building, being completely confident in the quality of each stage.

Marking the future site

The construction of a brick mansion is a step-by-step process, it begins with the preparation of the working area.

Sequence:

2. tracing with a cord and stakes, checking the distances along the legs and hypotenuses;
3. cleaning the site from auxiliary objects, vegetation and debris;
4. drawing the contour of the foundation.

The base for a brick building is usually chosen as a strip or in the form of a slab. Piles and poles are used less frequently, usually on slopes or areas that are regularly flooded.

Construction stages

Construction should be carried out in the warm season and preferably in dry weather. Otherwise, expensive measures will have to be taken to add additives to the solution and build a rain shed.

Step-by-step instructions for erecting a brick building:

1. Arrangement of the foundation. A pit, bedding, formwork and reinforcing cage will be made. Then concrete is poured. If necessary, inserts and pipes for communications are inserted.
2. Implementation of masonry walls. First, the waterproofing is laid, then the corner stones are exposed. After placing them vertically and horizontally, laying in rows begins. Each subsequent one is displaced by half a stone. The seams are made with a thickness of 10-12 mm and are sewn immediately after the end of the row.
3. Installation of jumpers. The beams should go at least 30 cm onto the walls with their edges. You can buy ready-made products or make them yourself. In places of partitions, bricks are removed from the outer wall to the inside.
4. Installation of floors. They are made from timber, reinforced concrete pillars or hollow slabs.
5. Roof erection. A rafter system is made, waterproofing, a roof covering is laid.

This is where the most difficult, expensive and time-consuming work ends. Further communications are laid, windows and doors are installed, internal and external finishing is applied.
