The Siberia gas boiler is a typical representative of household-class heating equipment. Among the products manufactured by Russian manufacturers, the samples of this company are in great demand and are constantly included in the TOP of the best models at the end of the year. The assortment of Siberia gas boilers includes models that have a relatively high efficiency (up to 90%) and low energy consumption. Heating devices differ in design features, as well as in the way they are installed within the heated house. Among the varieties of gas equipment from this manufacturer, there are models with a cast-iron heat exchanger, as well as universal-type boilers in floor-standing and wall-mounted (compact) versions.
Universal boiler manufacturer
The well-known sales office "Siberia", located in the city of Rostov-on-Don, is the largest manufacturer of the RGA and AOGV model ranges in Russia. The company was registered in 2002, but the date of its birth is unofficially considered to be the beginning of factory production, which was opened in the middle of the last century. Already in 1959, the AOGV-80 model, which later became legendary, was released.
The history of the Siberia trademark testifies to the fact that this enterprise has extensive experience in the manufacture of gas equipment. This is confirmed by the constantly expanding demand for budget models that differ from Western models in simplicity of design and low fuel consumption. This is how they differ significantly from the more expensive products of the Russian trade mark "Lemax", for example, or similar heating units from Ukraine.
Advantages and disadvantages of boilers
It is customary to refer to the advantages of Siberia boilers:
- reliable and time-tested design and clear operating principle;
- quite acceptable cost for an ordinary user;
- compliance of technical characteristics with the requirements of regulatory documents;
- independence from power supply;
- the presence in the assortment of combining not only single-circuit, but also double-circuit models.
The description of the advantages of Siberia boilers will be incomplete without mentioning the compactness and perfect design of the wall and floor samples offered by the company. In addition, users are attracted by the presence in the model range of products equipped with an almost "eternal" cast-iron heat exchanger.
The disadvantages of the design and functioning of some models include the following points noted by the owners in their reviews:
- noisy ignition and subsequent operation of the gas fuse;
- the need for maintenance of boiler equipment (regular cleaning of the burner, igniter and heat exchanger);
- not very high performance for FGP in double-circuit systems.
Among the design flaws of some models, users note the appearance of a reverse thrust, an extinguishing burner and a wick of the ignition system.
The lineup
The classic floor standing boiler Siberia AOGV is included in the range of products that are compact in size and quite affordable. Their range was expanded by releasing models with a wide range of technical parameters (declared power and performance).Among them, economical models stand out, produced in versions 11, 17 and 23 kW, as well as with a higher power, reaching 35 kW. This series also includes dual-circuit models. The letter "K" ("Siberia 11K") is usually added to the name of the latter. Moreover, they cost only 10-15% more than single-circuit models.
The operating experience of medium-power units (17 and 23 kW) has proved that they are among the most successful and reliable models produced by domestic manufacturers. However, they also have all the disadvantages already considered, including sensitivity to contamination of units and coolant, as well as noisy ignition. Since the maximum permissible operating pressure of these models is no more than 1 bar, it is not recommended to use them in closed-type systems (in them the specified indicator reaches 1.5-2 bars). The cost of boilers of this series varies between 19.8-26.0 thousand rubles.
KCHGO series
One of the best samples presented on the market by the production association "Siberia" are boilers for heating a private house from the KCHGO series. Their main difference from previous models is as follows:
- large dimensions and weight of the product due to the cast-iron heat exchanger;
- long service life (up to 30 years);
- higher permissible coolant pressure, which averages 3 bar;
- a wide range of versions differing in the declared power (16, 25, 40, and also 50 kW).
All these models are equipped with a typical burner and automatic control systems from well-known Italian firms "EuroSit" and "Polidoro". Their efficiency does not differ significantly from the previous series and is approximately 1.7 m3 / h for a 16 kW sample.
A significant disadvantage of KChGO products is the absence of double-circuit versions in the line, as well as relatively high prices. At the same time, they are still lower than those of foreign counterparts (33.9-62.0 thousand rubles).
Top Line Series
This series is represented by mounted models, in which all the necessary modules are already built: a safety group, an expansion tank, and a circulation pump. Their difference from other products is the presence of a modulating burner, which makes it possible to reduce the gas consumption to 2.65 m3 / h (at an operating power of 24 kW). The heat exchanger for these models is made of copper, which has better thermal conductivity and is more resistant to corrosion than steel.
In double-circuit boilers, a double circuit of the coolant circulation is used, which significantly complicates the possibility of flushing or cleaning it. Therefore, only soft and well-purified water is used as a heat carrier.
In addition to all of the above, these samples provide protection against overheating and freezing, as well as the ability to connect an external thermostat. The only drawback of these models is the difficulty of acquiring, since they are rarely found in the assortment of online stores. Due to the lack of other versions, only single-circuit Top Line 24 kW are currently available. Their cost ranges from 21,500-27,000 rubles.
Specifications
The main characteristics of the products are considered on the example of the Siberia 17 model:
- rated thermal power of the heating unit - 17.4 kW (with an efficiency of at least 90%);
- DHW resource consumption when it is heated to 35 ° C - 5.5 liters per minute;
- resource consumption for natural gas consumed by the system - 1.76 cubic meters. meter / hour;
- for liquefied gas this figure is 1.21 kg / h.
The dimensions of the heating units in millimeters are 850x280x560, and the weight of the assembled boiler is 59 kg. In addition to the main characteristics, to describe these products, you will need to familiarize yourself with additional parameters:
- thread size of connecting nipples: G ½ - for supplying and discharging hot water supply and G 2 for heating agent and cold water supply;
- working pressure of gas: natural - 2940 Pa and liquefied - 1274 Pa;
- the working water pressure in the heating system is 150 kPa and for hot water supply - 588.4 kPa.
The last thing that draws attention to when studying the characteristics of the Siberia 17 boiler is the standard size of the chimney, the diameter of which is 125 mm, and the discharge in the working channel is not less than 2.94 Pa.
Operation of boilers Siberia
According to the current operating instructions for boiler equipment, the working units of the units of the "Siberia" brand must be periodically washed and cleaned of soot and other contaminants. In addition, it is recommended to wipe their body with a damp cloth. As a detergent, it is allowed to use ordinary chemical preparations, but with the obligatory subsequent wiping of all cleaned surfaces with a dry cloth.
At least once a year (or as needed) the unit is serviced, which includes the following operations:
- cleaning the gas burner, product filter, as well as the heat exchanger and other parts from soot, soot and dirt;
- checking the tightness of all pipe joints (in particular - gas couplings);
- assessment of the quality of traction in the combustion chamber and other measures.
Maintenance of household units in accordance with the safety requirements is organized with the involvement of employees of the service center.
Possible problems
A fairly simple design of floor-standing boilers and regular maintenance allow avoiding serious problems with the operation of these units and breakdowns of their working units. This explains the lack of constant demand for spare parts for them.
It is very rare for repair technicians to look for new ignitors or thermocouples that have failed due to oxidized contacts. But even this problem has a very simple solution: sometimes it is enough to simply clean them up with zero-size sandpaper.
In the most general case, during operation, one has to deal with the following malfunctions in the operation and startup of the boiler:
- The igniter or the main burner assembly does not ignite in any way.
- The wick goes out by itself.
- The system does not provide the required operating temperature (above 60 degrees).
- Errors E01 and E04 appear on the display (most often this happens with hinged-type boilers).
When the first 2 malfunctions are found, first make sure that the boiler is fired up according to the instructions. If everything is done correctly, their cause is most likely the lack of reverse draft, which can be checked by bringing a lighted match to the window located at the bottom of the boiler. The constant shortage of temperature is due to a clogged gas valve located on the fuel supply line. To eliminate this problem, unscrew the fastening nut on the gas pipeline inlet and blow through the fused tube.
If after cleaning the valve and turning on the device nothing has changed, you will need to make sure that the load on the boiler corresponds to the capacity declared in its passport. Error E01 indicates that the flame has disappeared in the burner, and error code E04 indicates that the pressure in the system has dropped below the limit. In whatever form these errors appear, the system is diagnosed first, and then proceeds to troubleshoot.
When choosing a suitable sample of a boiler unit, various models from Siberia are usually compared with the Ukrainian boilers Danko or with domestic Lemax. As a result of this assessment, preference is usually given to products manufactured by the Rostov association.
