Indirect heating boilers work by interacting with external heat carriers - for example, with a heating boiler or solar panel. This allows users to get hot water while saving electrical energy. One of the popular options for choosing from such models is the Drazice boiler. This company specializes in indirect devices, but also produces combined-type units capable of operating according to the indicated scheme and heating water with electricity through a built-in heating element.
Pros and cons of Drazice boilers
Intending to purchase a Drazhice boiler, you need to choose the version that is most suitable for a specific heating system. They differ in the principle of operation and the method of installation in the room: there are models designed for installation on the floor and for mounting on the wall.
The advantages of these devices are worth noting:
- availability of basic demanded options at a budget price;
- choice of models: single and double-circuit, equipped with heating elements and without it, suspended and floor-standing;
- no need for additional power sources;
- profitability - the use of an indirect device will reduce the amount of utility bills;
- the possibility of separate use of two sources of heat carrier;
- the option to combine two contours;
- a container that allows you to quickly provide the whole family with heated water, as well as have supplies;
- smooth switching;
- application of anodic protection;
- simultaneous receipt of liquid from several points without temperature drops;
- accuracy of temperature regulation (up to +80 degrees);
- very low heat loss;
- long service life subject to the recommendations of the instructions for a specific model (it is included in the set of attached documents).
As a disadvantage, it is worth noting that indirect units without heating elements heat the water for a long time. Combination models, when powered by a built-in heater, do this quickly. If the device is connected to the heating system, in the summer, due to its shutdown, there will be problems with the coolant. In this case, you can connect it to a solar battery or, if there is a heating element, switch to electricity.
For effective operation, the device should be placed as close as possible to the source of the coolant, and with large body sizes, it is problematic to organize this. If the boiler is connected to the boiler, they must be placed next to it in a dedicated room.
Specifications
When connecting an indirect boiler Drazhitsa to the boiler unit, the required temperature is created by the circulating heat carrier. The devices themselves have an enamelled steel case. Its function is to protect external and internal surfaces and seams from damage associated with high temperatures. The magnesium anode prevents scale build-up and makes the heated water soft. The outer parts of the body are also coated with a dye composition. It is applied by hot drying. The same model can be produced in different colors.
The characteristics of a particular boiler are determined by its belonging to a particular line (they differ among themselves in terms of their internal structure), as well as their volume.You can find models with a capacity of 80 to 200 liters of water. A serpentine heat exchanger is mounted in the tank (some devices have two of them).
The boiler is capable of working in conjunction with boilers operating gas and solid fuels. It is also practiced to be combined with a solar heating system.
Popular models
The names of the boilers carry certain information about their characteristics and design features. OKS is a general marking of heaters of this company. Various letter designations are attributed to it. The NTR is a simple one-circuit boiler with basic functionality for floor mounting. The additional letter R (NTRR) indicates the presence of a second loop. This model can be connected to a solar system and a heat pump. The letters Z and V indicate wall mounting: in the first case - with a vertical placement, in the second - with a longitudinal one. Letter E indicates the presence of heating elements. There is also a two- or three-digit number in the marking - this is the volume of the tank in liters.
OKC NTR 200
The Drazice OKC 200 NTR boiler model is designed for floor mounting. A capacious 200 liter tank will allow residents to always have a large supply of water for hygienic and household needs. However, these dimensions require ample space for placement. It is good if you manage to allocate a separate room for the boiler, where it can be placed next to the boiler. Models marked NTRR instead of NTR are also on sale - they have two tubular heat exchangers, which makes it possible to connect to two heat carriers at the same time (for example, a boiler and a solar system).
The device is 140 cm high and weighs 93 kg. The model is equipped with a safety valve and a thermostat with an external control unit. The maximum possible water temperature is 90 degrees. The boiler is connected to a single-phase voltage of 230 V and a frequency of 50 Hz. The device is capable of heating liquid from 10 to 60 degrees in 23 minutes. When working with two heat carriers, heating occurs approximately 1.5 times faster. The rated power of the device is 32 kilowatts. The tank is designed for a maximum pressure of 6 bar. Despite the presence of a 50% reserve, it should not be kept in this state for a long time.
OKC NTR 100
Like the previous model, this boiler is placed on the floor. In general, it has a similar device, but differs in size and power. The weight of the device is 53 kg, the height is 90 cm. The tank holds 87 liters of water. Boiler power - 24 kilowatts; in 13 minutes, it heats the water from 10 degrees to 60. Unlike the NTR 200 model, this unit is not produced in a version with two coils.
Others
For operation in conditions of frequent interruptions in the coolant supply, it is advisable to purchase a combined type model. Some of them have a horizontal cistern and are designed for longitudinal wall mounting. Like other lines, these boilers are available in different capacities (maximum - 200 l). The temperature regime is maintained by a built-in thermostatic device.
Indirect models are also produced without heating elements with a vertical tank, designed for wall mounting. They take up less space and are convenient for connection in the immediate vicinity of a heat source.
Boiler connection methods
First you need to determine in which room the unit will be located. The best option is a specially equipped boiler room, but in practice, the boiler is often placed in the bathroom, utility room or in the hallway. Cold liquid enters the branch pipes of the device located at the bottom, and heated liquid comes out of the upper ones. When the lamb is turned, the water goes to the faucet. Combination models also have the option of heating via an electric heater.
Floor standing
Installation of Drazice floor-standing boilers assumes placement on a leveled surface.Sometimes an elevation is made under the unit. The operating manual provides a connection diagram suitable for a specific unit model, as well as recommendations for the installation of the water circuit. The latter can be connected with sharpening for hot water (then a valve with three strokes is installed), or with a pair of pumps that regulate the fluid flow, focusing on the required temperature.
During installation, do not install shut-off valves between the boiler itself and the safety valve. Although the use of fittings through which air is discharged prevents incidents of shock by water currents of system elements, it can be implemented only in those models for which this is permitted by the manufacturer (there are corresponding instructions in the instructions), and in no case should it be placed in the designated gap. The pressure at which the safety valve is triggered must be set identical to the maximum allowed value for the boiler. Also, it should be at least 1.2 times higher than the highest indicator for a water supply system, otherwise a pressure reducing valve is introduced into the installation.
Hinged
Suspended models are supposed to be attached by means of anchor parts and brackets. After examining the installation recommendations given in the instructions, you can determine the required number of elements of different types. Wall-mounted models are advantageous in that they are likely to be located higher above the floor surface than the boiler - this position contributes to the acceleration of water heating. The place for installation is chosen according to the type of tank (horizontal or vertical).
Boiler operating instructions
In the process of using the boiler, a number of safety requirements must be observed. Before filling it with water for the first time, tighten the flange connection nuts of the container. In no case should you stop using the thermal fuse, and also carry out any operations with the thermostat (with the exception of adjusting the temperature indicator by means of the switch). You also need to monitor the state of the magnesium anode. When the need arises, it is replaced. Mixers are provided at all points of the heated liquid outlet.
The installation of an indirect boiler will allow you to optimize energy costs and always have a supply of hot water at hand for various household purposes. When purchasing a device, you need to carefully study the connection and installation requirements.
