The German-Swiss brand Arbonia is engaged in the production of heating equipment - batteries, convectors and heated towel rails. The devices are suitable for installation in apartments, private houses, country cottages and office premises. The Arbonia steel radiator is streamlined, heats up quickly and can replace outdated cast iron versions.
Varieties of Arbonia radiators
AFG Arbonia-Forster-Holding AG produces two versions of batteries - classic tubular and vertical.
Features of tubular models
Products in classic design have up to 6 columns-pipes and 5 depth options (65-225 mm) for installation. The devices are distinguished by the correct ratio of convection and heat radiation, therefore, they provide a comfortable temperature.
Tubular batteries are characterized by a clear shape, smooth edges and corners, compatible with thermostats. The height of the devices reaches from 180 to 3000 mm. Connection is made from the side (¾ "female thread) and from the bottom (½" female thread). The manufacturer's marking for the two-pipe version is 2057, for the three-pipe version - 3057.
The line of pipe modifications includes the following options:
- Cambioterm. The installation length from 270 to 2700 mm and the installation height from 270 to 1070 mm allow the devices to be installed in place of old steel and cast iron radiators. The length step of one section is 45 mm. The pipes can withstand pressures up to 10 bar.
- Bench. The tubular horizontal radiator from the Arbonia brand has an installation depth of 145 to 225 mm, a height of 180 to 310 mm, and a length of 540 to 4500 mm. The number of elements in the section is from 4 to 6.
- Electrical. The WRT kit is equipped with a control box and an anti-freeze heating adjusting rod. The WIR variation is completed with a connection block and an IR controller with a touch panel for programming and control.
The batteries are designed for a maximum coolant temperature of 120 degrees.
Specificity of vertical modifications
Arbonium batteries in vertical design are distinguished by the welded connection of the sections. The line includes several varieties:
- partitions with legs 140 mm and a height of the top attachment of 150 mm;
- curved with 12 sections, 6 of which are straight and located at the edges;
- angular with a length equal to the length of the walls. The assembly is carried out by the buyer.
Curved and angled models are made to order only.
Non-standard heating devices
The manufacturer also offers non-standard radiator options:
- Sano for hospitals, sanatoriums, beauty salons. The distance between the sections is increased to 20 mm for ease of maintenance, the surface is covered with an antibacterial Protect coating. The batteries have from 2 to 6 pipes with an installation depth of 65-225 mm, a height of 60-3000 mm and a length of 370-2580 mm.
- Entreetherm with a non-linear configuration in the form of two panels pointing in the opposite direction.
- Planterm designed as a heating wall panel with bottom connection. Can be completed with a valve.
- Optoterm as a vertical or horizontal towel holder with an internal mirror insert.
The Planterm series can only be connected to two-pipe distribution.

Air collector fittings and drain plugs are included in the kit regardless of the number of instrument sections.
Features of heating devices
For the manufacture of heating devices, steel is used, which ensures long-term operation and reliability. The devices have 21 different heights, they are mounted on the wall, on the floor, as a bench or as an internal partition. It is possible to connect Arbonium batteries to one-pipe and two-pipe systems in the upper, lateral or lower way.
Products can be equipped with a thermostat - there is a valve element for it. Pipe versions are connected to heating only from the bottom or from the side, which is convenient in apartments. To convert the heater into a bench, special legs are used, there are also additional partitions and towel holders. The Sano series is distinguished by ease of wet cleaning, and the increased gap of the sections does not affect heat transfer.
The power of heating devices is selected according to the type of premises - an apartment or a house with panoramic windows, office or industrial premises. The standard color of the batteries is white, but in the RAL catalog you can choose the color for any interior.
Mounting brackets are not supplied with the batteries.
Advantages and disadvantages of Arbonium batteries
Compared to standard heating batteries, Arbonia brand products have several advantages:
- made of low-alloy steel, which eliminates deformation during operation;
- sectional welded construction for added strength;
- no pockets - dirt does not accumulate between sections;
- several types of coating for the external and internal surfaces - anti-corrosion, antibacterial, against the accumulation of static current;
- universal - suitable for any room due to the parameters of length (18 cm - 3 m), width (6.5-22.5 cm) and the number of sections;
- connection to the system in a convenient way - from the side, diagonally or from below;
- minimal injury hazard - there are no sharp corners and protrusions on the products;
- design solutions for any interior;
- ease of wet cleaning - dirt and dust are removed with water.
Of the disadvantages of devices, users single out the expensive cost of corner, expelled modifications, before ordering which you need to carefully measure the room. The disadvantages also include minimal resistance to pressure fluctuations, risks of leakage of welded seams, the need for a large number of sections for the normal operation of the heating system.
Installation process
Arbonia heating radiators are installed lateral and lower left-handed or right-handed, as well as diagonally. The installation work algorithm is implemented in stages:
- Marking the points where the brackets will be located.
- Fixing fasteners on the surface with dowels with control of vertical and horizontal deviations with a level.
- Hanging the battery on the brackets and connecting it to the heating system.
- Installation of vent valves for air and thermostats.
- Removing the packaging film from the radiator.
- Battery test run.
The distance from the wall to the heater must be at least 2.5 cm.
Design line of radiators Arbonia
The Arbonia brand focuses not only on the quality of work, but also on the design execution of products. The Crealux series is suitable for apartments due to the maximum pressure of 16 atm.and a maximum operating temperature of 100 degrees.
The Rondotherm model looks like a thin steel pipe with a mirror. The batteries can be installed in the bathroom, hallway or bedroom, which visually expands the space and makes the interior complete.
The Decolux version is also equipped with an extended mirror. It is designed for a maximum coolant temperature of 100 degrees and a pressure of 10 bar. Instances of Uno are single-row heating communications, and Duo are double-row.
The compact version of Arbotherm is characterized by high thermal conductivity, with a maximum coolant temperature of 120 degrees. The difference between batteries is a variety of color options.
Zehnder Nova batteries are produced in vertical and horizontal design, equipped with special convection blades. The parameters of the maximum temperature regime of the coolant are 120 degrees.
Laconic radiators Decotherm are suitable for low temperature systems or hot water heating. Compactness and classic design make it possible to mount such equipment in offices.
Color features
The products are available in several colors. The standard version of the batteries is white. For the sanitary series, soft pastel shades are used. You can choose any colors from the RAL palette.
Arbonia also developed the New Inspiration palette, which includes the Fresh, Warm and Cool series. They are presented in 18 shades - muted natural or with a barely noticeable pearl shimmer.
