As an example, we should disassemble four popular brands available for any budget of corrugated board: C8, C10, C20 and HC35.
- C8 - in terms of technical parameters, it is similar to the C10 brand. In most cases, it is used for arranging fences up to 2.5 meters high.
- C10 - panel with galvanized coating and low wave height. It is used to solve complex design problems. Moreover, used in wall decoration inside and outside, creation of suspended structures and temporary fences of objects.
- C20 - durable galvanized metal, which has a wave or trapezoidal cross-section. The scope is varied - erection of a roof, creation of lathing from sheets of 40 cm, production of sandwich panels, as well as construction of rigid structures... Additionally the material is used for wall cladding, the construction of interior partitions and the arrangement of fences.
- Profiled sheets HC35 are used as roof coverings and installation of fences.
There are also other brands of sheets of different sizes on the market, differing in technical parameters and price range. Experts recommend to choose material, considering construction tasks, wind loads and product quality.
According to the updated version of GOST 24045, a deviation in the length of the profiled sheet for a fence of +10 mm is allowed in the manufactured products.
Criteria for choosing a metal profile
Before purchasing a profiled sheet, it is recommended to conduct a thorough inspection of the product for indistinct paintwork, as well as the absence of mechanical damage - dents and scratches... Additionally, you should evaluate quality of edge processing. The best option is considered rolling, which eliminates the risk of injury during work.
Further, the compliance of the parameters declared by the manufacturer with the real characteristics is checked. A discrepancy indicates poor product quality or counterfeit. In the accompanying documents, the manufacturer gives the main parameters of the goods in the form of marking, where capital letters indicate the purpose of the corrugated board:
- C - wall material for cladding facades and fences;
- H - carrier, used as roof decking;
- NS - non-existent-wall, universal field of application.
After the letter there is a number that indicates the height canvas, measured, like the thickness, in millimeters. The next indicator is width sheet (mm). In some cases, the product manufacturer prescribes at the end maximum available length (mm) material.
Until recently, the labeling also indicated type of protective coating:
- AC - zinc alumina;
- А‒ aluminized;
- AK - aluminum-silicon;
- EOCP - electrolytic zinc.
