How Fibos filters work

The cross section of its thread is thinner than the diameter of a human hair. The distance between the wire fibers is only 0.001 mm (1 μm). The winding, in turn, is placed in a special flask made of durable glass.

• section of filtered impurities - from 1 micron;
• diameter of the mud drain valve - 1/2 inch;
• dimensions - 150x70 mm (HxW);
• the maximum temperature of the passed water is +95 degrees.

This model is more often bought for an apartment for a family of 2-3 people.

Fibos-1

The prefix "1" in the name of the device indicates its performance. The model is capable of passing up to 1 m3 of water per hour. Otherwise, the technical characteristics from the manufacturer are as follows:

• dimensions - 190x100 mm (HxW);
• temperature of the pumped-over water (max.) - +95 degrees;
• operating pressure range in the system - 0.5-16 atm .;
• size of impermeable particles - from 0.001 mm;
• connectable allowable cross-sections from 1/2 to 3/4 inch.

More often this modification is purchased for borehole or well water in a private house.

Fibos-3

The model is capable of processing up to 3 m3 of water per hour. Moreover, its dimensions in width and height are 100x190 mm. The admissible parameter of connections is from 3/4 to 1 inch. The operating pressure in the system for this model is from 0.5 to 16 atm. The diameter of the filtered particles is from 1 micron. As well as for other Fibos models, this modification can operate at hot water temperatures up to + 95 °.

Industrial Fibos-60

This productive model is more often installed in small industrial enterprises, apartment buildings or other commercial premises. Fibos-60 is capable of passing through itself up to 60 m3 of water per hour. Flask dimensions are equal to 300x850 mm in width and height. The permissible size of particles passed through the wire mesh is up to 1 micron. Connecting sections from 70 mm to 75 mm. The diameter of the fouling valve is 3/4 ”. The permissible temperature limit for hot water is +95 degrees.

Criterias of choice

Due to the fact that the form and principle of installing Fibos filters are repeated for all models, you need to choose a device solely for its performance. There are certain recommendations in this regard:

• For a small summer cottage, apartment, family of up to three people, you can take the mini model.
• For a country house, in which water is consumed not only for domestic needs but also for watering, you can buy a modification of Fibos-1.
• Fibos-3 is suitable for small commercial premises, cottages with swimming pools.
• The industrial filter speaks for itself.

When choosing a filter, it is advisable to take into account the type of water pollution. If these are suspended particles such as clay, ferric iron, the device is perfect. If dissolved salts and gases prevail in the water, most likely, Fibos will not cope with them.

The manufacturer offers the buyer not just filters, but also whole systems for purifying tap water, magnetic transducers, and systems for automatic flushing.

Advantages and disadvantages of Fibos water filters

Despite the negative feedback from experts about Fibos water filters, some users have identified a number of advantages for themselves:

Of the minuses, they are more often distinguished:

• Failure to meet expectations. In most cases, the filter does not remove dissolved impurities and gases from the water.

• The need for frequent manual flushing of the device from accumulated dirt.

The price of Fibos water filters depends on their modification. The simplest mini model will cost the consumer about 10,000-12,000 rubles. A modification with the prefix "3" in the name will cost about 20,000 rubles. The industrial model has an approximate price of 550,000 rubles.

However, I know that the water from the tap is not of the best quality. In a light cup, it looks really yellow. I read about the available filter models. I chose Fibos-mini. The seller's representative installed the device. At the moment it has been working for two months. I know for sure that the yellowness has disappeared from the water. To what extent it purifies water from other impurities, I do not understand.

Sasha, 29 years old. Fibos-1 was completely disappointed in the filter. After first reading the manufacturer's recommendations, and without looking at the reviews about the device, I bought this model for a house with a well. The liquid from the source flows with an admixture of lime and hydrogen sulfide. I can say for sure that in the first month the suspended impurity has decreased. The gas hasn't gone anywhere at all. The smell is there. After a month and a half of work, when draining, I discovered a worn out wire winding. It just crumbled. I do not recommend it. Wasted money.

If you need high-quality purification of drinking water, there is no better reverse osmosis system. Multi-stage filtration eliminates impurities from gases, bacteria and more. The same filter, which is difficult even to call such, will not cope with any of the tasks.
