The quality of the water from the public water supply is poor. The owners of private houses and summer cottages are giving up centralized water supply in favor of wells that are made directly on the site. In such a situation, it is convenient to use pumps and pumps to supply water. One of the options is a pump for the Kama well.
Principle of operation and device

The number of impellers in a jet is directly related to the performance and power of the engine. The more there are, the more liquid the pump is capable of pumping at a lower rotor speed.
Model range and technical characteristics
When choosing a pump, you need to know the technical characteristics by which its performance is assessed. The main indicator is the depth from which the pump can supply water to the surface, the second is the amount of pumped liquid per minute, the third is the distance at which pressure is provided. The fourth indicator is the power consumption of the engine. Almost all of the above characteristics are indicated in the designation of a particular model, therefore, it is possible to determine the technical parameters even without having documents. The marking plate is glued to the housing. An example of designation - KAMA NPS-1,1-1,7 / 100:

A separate type is multistage borehole pumps, in which there is not one impeller, but several. In the designation of such models, after the letters there is a number that indicates their number.

Criterias of choice
To select a pump for a specific site or house, it is necessary to determine in advance its characteristics. This requires:
- measure the depth of the well to the water level;
- determine the distance at which the feed is planned;
- calculate the planned expense.
It is worth considering the degree of contamination of the well, becausewater cannons have a limited throughput in terms of the size of particles in the pumped medium. You should also know the diameter of the casing installed in the well, because the pump should be slightly smaller.
Features of installation and operation
You can install a pump that you plan to use only for irrigation yourself. It is necessary to connect the hose, prepare and fix in advance a metal cable with a diameter of at least 4 mm, on which the pump will hang. It is strictly forbidden to hang it by the electric cord. The length of the cable should be a couple of meters longer than the distance to the water level in the well. After the hose is connected and the water cannon is split into the cable, it can be lowered into the well and immersed in water to the depth indicated in the documents.
It is difficult to assemble an automatic water supply system based on a water cannon without skills. Only a specialist will be able to correctly connect the automation, expansion tank, and adjust the working pressure. A high-quality installation is the key to working capacity for a long time.
Some sellers give a guarantee only if the installation was carried out by a specialist who has a certificate from the manufacturer's company, which gives the right to install borehole pumps.
During operation, it is necessary to remove the water cannon from the well annually, carry out cleaning and maintenance. This will significantly extend the service life.
Advantages and disadvantages
The advantage of the borehole-type Kama submersible centrifugal pump is its high productivity and the ability to raise water from a depth of up to 100 meters. Conventional surface mounted centrifugal devices cannot draw from this distance.
The disadvantages include fragility, stringent requirements for water quality. Kama water cannons belong to the budget category, but some models cost more than 10 thousand.
