A pumping station is a mandatory attribute of an autonomous water supply system in a private house. Italian Marina units are very popular among craftsmen. The equipment is distinguished by its high performance and affordable price. In addition, spare parts for the Marina pumping station are always available in case of repair. Although such situations are extremely rare.
Device and principle of operation
All Italian units, regardless of their model, have similar devices. For each, the following working units are provided:
- hydroaccumulator, it is also a storage membrane tank;
- a centrifugal pump with a built-in ejector, if a more efficient unit is needed, the ejector is made remote;
- pressure switch and pressure gauge to control it;
- water temperature sensor.
Additionally, all Marina stations are equipped with a check valve. This prevents water from draining out of the hydraulic tank.
Italian pumping equipment works according to the following principle:
- using a thin ejector tube, the pump fills the storage tank;
- at this moment, the pressure in the system rises to the maximum;
- when one or more taps in the house are opened, water begins to leave the accumulator;
- due to the outflow of liquid, the pressure in the Marina pumping station drops;
- at such rates, the pump again turns on and starts pumping water into the tank until the pressure rises.
The cycles of the station are repeated continuously. This ensures that a constant pressure is maintained in the autonomous water supply system.
Model range and technical characteristics
Italian units are presented on the market in several modifications. There are four series of pumping equipment in total:
- CAM ruler. This is the most budgetary option. The body is made of cast iron or stainless steel. The centrifugal pump blades are made of durable polymer. The maximum water intake depth is 9 m. The CAM line of units includes several models of stations, the power of which varies in the range from 0.8 to 1.7 kW. Storage tank - 22, 25 or 60 liters. The maximum head is in the range from 43 to 60 m. The productivity of Marina SAM stations is from 3.5 m3 / hour to 4.2 m3 / hour. The most popular models in this series are Marina Cam 80/22, 60/25; 100/25; 40/22.
- Workstation series. More powerful, heavier and more efficient units designed to lift water from a depth of up to 50 m. The body of these stations is made of stainless steel. The most demanded models from the APM series are 100/25 and 200/25. The approximate weight of the equipment is 35 kg. The power of the units is from 1100 to 1500 W.
- Marina K. S series. They have a polymer body, which reduces their weight to 14 kg. Power from 800 to 1300 W. Productivity from 3600 to 4300 l / h. Head - 42-50 m.
- Line of RSM stations. Head from 32 to 60 m. Maximum suction depth up to 7 m. Productivity - about 6 m3 / hour. Power - 1400 W.
The Marina models with the Idromat electronic regulator are distinguished. The stations, according to the instructions, are based on CAM, RSM or KS pumps. Dimensions are minimal. The tuning of Idromat models is highly accurate. The units are produced in two modifications - with tanks of 25 and 100 liters. Power - 1400 W. Head - 50 m.Depth of liquid intake - up to 7 m.
Criterias of choice
Choose Marina station by the following parameters:
- Case material. The durability of the unit depends on it under different operating conditions. If the station is to be used in the field, it is better to take equipment in a steel or cast iron case.Polymer is also suitable for installing equipment in an insulated basement.
- Storage tank volume. Calculated by the number of family members. For two or three people, a 25-40 liter accumulator is enough. The more people living in the house, the more capacious the volume of the tank should be.
- Station power. To perform numerous tasks - watering, supplying water to all taps at home - you need to take more productive equipment.
- Permissible suction depth. It is calculated by the length of the distance from the point of water intake to the place of its supply (taps).
If it is supposed to supply fluid from very deep wells, it is better to take a unit with a remote ejector. Additionally, attention should be paid to various protection systems - from overheating, dry running, etc.
Features of operation and maintenance
Italian water supply units do not need any special maintenance. The stations are sold ready for installation, connection and operation. It is important to initially mount the unit on a specially prepared flat area. It is advisable to place the equipment as close to the water intake point as possible. You can arrange a specially insulated caisson under the unit.
The technique does not require lubrication. An exception is the seasonal operation of the station. If you only use the equipment during the summer, the unit must be removed for the winter. Previously, all the water is drained from it, the working units are lubricated. You need to store in a dry, moderately warm place.
If for some reason the Marina station is out of order, it is advisable to contact the service center for troubleshooting. Otherwise, Italian technology works like a well-oiled mechanism.
Advantages and disadvantages
Italian pumping units have a number of competitive advantages over other similar units:
- European build quality. All stations are assembled exclusively in Italy.
- Manufacturer's warranty for 3-4 years.
- Economical energy consumption.
- Minimum noise level at work.
- The presence of a variety of protection systems.
- Installation of equipment is understandable even for a beginner.
However, some masters also revealed a lack of Italian technology. This is considered the inability of the Marina stations to pump water with the inclusion of fine waste. Equipment from Italy is intended only for pumping clean water.
To protect the Marina units from failure due to debris entering the system, it is advisable to immediately install coarse filters on the inlet hose.
Prices for Italian pumping equipment range from 4,700 to 22,000 rubles. The cost directly depends on the technical characteristics of each model: power, water intake depth, pressure, body material, tank volume, availability of additional systems and options.
Feedback and recommendations
Judging by user reviews, pumping units from Italy justify the money spent on them.
Maxim, 44 years old. I have a few dacha on a hill from the rest of the houses in the village. There is a good pond nearby, so I bought a Marina station from the CAM series for watering the garden and garden (on the advice of my godfather). The unit was installed in an equipped caisson with a depth of 80 cm. The pump pumps water regularly. And even with continuous two to three hours of work, it does not show signs of fatigue. The pressure is good. When mounted, a coarse filter was immediately installed on the inlet hose. The station has been operating for the third summer. No complaints.
Sasha, 42 years old. Bought the Italian Marina station two years ago for a country house. I took a model from the APM 100/25 series. It is enough for a family of 3 people. I did the installation myself, although I had not done anything like this before. Everything is simple there. The main thing is to immediately pump water into the system. Station control is simple. For two years I have never failed. As set the working pressure, so it works.
